Hi I activated this plugin, however, when I go to check out, I am not able to type in the promo code. I’m not sure if it’s just not showing up or if it’s not allowing any type in there. Please help thanks, |
Hi Jaclyn, The first thing I would check would be to see if your software is up to date. Here is our changelog for Event Espresso 4: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/ Next, the promotion code field will only appear if you are registering for an event where at least one promotion code is enabled. Otherwise, it won’t appear since there are no active promotions that can be applied. — |

Hello I am running 4.9.9 of Event Espresso with version 1.0.8.p of promotions. I have one code active and valid from today at 12am to September 12th at 12am |
Thanks for the additional information. Is this a global promo code (applies to all events) or is it event-specific? If it is specific to an event, then could you double-check that the event is selected through the the bottom right area of the promotions editor? — |

Hi Lorenzo, The code is event specific. I double checked and the event is indeed selected. I also made sure the event it is attached to is upcoming and sales are available. |
Hi Jaclyn_M, Can you post a link to the event so we can register, and check for where that promotion code field should be? I wonder if might be there, but not visible because the page layout shifts there or something. If not, can you fill out the form on this page so we can investigate further? |

Thanks for your response. This is the url: https://www.sacrealtor.org/events/commercial-class-advanced-appraisal-topics/ |
Thank you, this helps. So this turns out to be that the input fields text is white, on white background, and that’s being set by some custom CSS that was added to your child theme’s style.css file. So that’s why you can’t see what’s being typed into the field. Here’s what you can do to fix: You go to edit the style.css file of the child theme, where starting on line 120 there’s this:
You remove the very first selector and comma, which is After that, you’ll have only this:
Then you save the file, then you clear your browser’s cache to see the changes. |

I had a feeling it was something stupid. Thank you! |
