We have the Promotions and Discount Codes add-on and need to create a code for one person to use for up to 10 tickets. I have created the first code for 100% discount and set Number of Uses Per Scope Item to 10. However, when I checkout with 2 tickets, it displays only 1 has been used. Is there a way it will use the number of tickets instead of just number of uses? Would we need to set the Number of Uses Per Scope Item to 1 and the Total Number of Uses to 10, requiring the purchaser to checkout for each ticket separately? |

Are you trying todo something like this? https://monosnap.com/file/FkABZchtBLbXWrKMmvvwQfMacDoQhG And you want it shows up in the your backend, the number of uses is 2? https://monosnap.com/file/YTE9xfjyY65vfDBKHDBz2sRoe1vN5O Currently, the number of uses is based on checkout. You’re right, your customer needed to checkout each ticket separately, if you want to to track it according to your requirement. thanks. |

No, the number of uses is only 1 even though 2 tickets were purchased during one checkout. So, we would need to set the Number of Uses Per Scope Item to 1 and the Total Number of Uses to 10 for the code to apply to 10 tickets total. The purchase would have to be done one ticket at a time? |

So, I just tested this and it is not working as needed. I set these option with 100% percent discount: Number of Uses Per Scope Item to 1 I checkout with 2 tickets, but it gives both tickets free due to the 100% tickets I assume? Is there any way to use this add-on or another for ticket giveaways or pre-paid tickets? |

To clarify, we want to give 10 tickets to someone who pre-paid for the tickets. |

Hi there, So in short you are trying to apply promotions on the ticket scope level but currently, the promotions add-on applies promotions on an event level. Meaning every time you apply a promotion to an event it counts as a use, the number of tickets you have selected within that event don’t matter when promotions apply to the event, a single use is a use against the event as a whole. Rio’s example ‘works’ because he 2 events in the cart (1 event with 4 tickets and another with 3 but 2 events so the promotion uses is 2 in that example) but that’s not what you are looking for. The only way you can set up the promotions add-on for what you are looking for as it stands is to limit every event to a single registration on checkout. Are all of your tickets different values? |
|
Yes, most of our events differ in price. You do plan to allow promotions and discounts per ticket in the future? |
|
Yes, It is something we want to build. But we can’t give you ETA for this one yet. thanks |
