I am running the promotions add-on and it is working well so far. The only thing I would like is a way to run a report to actually see WHO used what promotion code. In transactions the only thing I see in the transaction is a line that says “promotion-1” and not which promotion code they used.
I have one client that I have given a promotion code to so they can use it when they register a customer of theirs in an event. They collect the money and then I then bill the client for what they owe me. Then all the messages go right to the person attending the event.
I’m putting in a few feature requests that will help with this. One is to add a column to the Registrations CSV report that displays the promotion code used. Another is to add the Promo code used to the Transaction Item line. You’ll note that over to the left of the transaction item line for the Promotion type, it does include the Promotion name (with a link to edit the promotion right there). We can see about adding the actual code there too.
Josh, I just went to the transaction for one of the promotions and it looks perfect now! Wasn’t that way yesterday when I posted it.
What I was trying to do is download a CSV from the promotions dashboard that listed the transactions by promotion. Currently the only way to do that is on the registration, correct?
Update: The Promotions add-on for Event Espresso 4 is now available. The initial release includes the addition of the promotion column in the registration CSV report.
