In EE3 when you added an new event to the database, there was a box on the right of the screen where you could choose which promotion codes worked with the new event. The way I understand it, the promotion codes in EE4 only work with the events that are selected when you input the code into the system. Is there a way to add a new event to the system and select the promotion codes that work with that event without having to go into the promotions section of EE4 and update each code individually?
We are using the promotions code to allow an individual to purchase a block of tickets (say 10) and then be able to use those tickets for any events they desire within the next 6 months. We generally update our schedule every month or so with new events. It seems like it would be a tedious process to add all the new events and then have to go back into the promotions section and update every ticket block promotion to reflect the new events. Is there a way that the promotions can be set to be active for all events of a certain category without having to select the new events as they are added? for example: we create a promotion that we want to be active for all events in the category “weekend events” and as we add new events tagged with that category the promotion code will automatically be valid for the new events because it was set to be valid for the category “weekend events”?
