I’ve followed the online directions. I’ve add the discount amount, description, and code. I also went to the event and said “yes” to promotional discount and select the discount code name. However when I add to cart the discount area for entering code doesn’t show up. I thought maybe because I have custom template. So I also disabled template and used default template from EE. The discount code area still doesn’t show up. Can you please help with this? Where is the code area supposed to show up? In the cart I assume. I also have the below code on to redirect the user to the cart. I don’t think this is an issue but wanted to make sure. [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK anchor=”Purchase tickets for this date” direct_to_cart=1 moving_to_cart=”Redirecting to cart…”] Would the above code disable the discount in any way? |
Hello there, That shortcode should not disable the promo code functionality. The promo code field won’t show in the cart. It will show in the Registration form. Have you looked for it there? Screenshot: http://bit.ly/1eusisE |

This does not appear on my page. You can check – http://www.stingyjackspumpkinpatch.com Go and start to purchase a ticket for the 26th of October. This is the only event date that has a discount associated with it. The promotional code doesn’t come up at all. I can private message you login details to the admin if you like. I’ve done all that the setup says to do. I even removed custom templates and used default templates of EE. However when you look at the site it will be with the custom template. That way people can still order as they normally would. My point is that it isn’t the template because it would have worked when I disabled the my custom template. Please look into this as we want to offer a discount this week and need to be able to offer a code. Thank You |
Hi ttiemann, I see you say you have associated the promo code with the event, but have you enabled promo codes for that event? Within the event on the right hand side in the sidebar were you associated the promo code you’ll also see ‘Allow discount codes?’ is that set to Yes? http://d.pr/i/YrSc (set to No in this example) We are more than happy to investigate further if you would like to send your log in details using https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ |

Hi ttiemann, If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. You should then see the Coupon code at the bottom of the Cart. |

Thank you. I don’t remember that being one of the steps and I must of overlooked it in the General Settings. Anyway – Thank you!! |
No Problem at all 🙂 It was actually something I had overlooked (always the simple things) when troubleshooting, only when I logged in and checked the settings did it hit me. Anyway, glad your all sorted. |
