Promotional Code discount intermittently not carried thru to credit card charge

EE 3.1.36.2.P

Multiple problems:
1) The discount is often not carried all the way through the checkout process — i.e., some customers “see” the discount on screen but are charged for higher price. This is causing huge problem of people calling for refunds.
2) The discount code doesn’t show up anywhere on invoices, email etc. Makes it impossible for us to verify that the person entered the code. Why isn’t it automatically part of the registration?

Promo code currently in use: PLANTANT

it is defined as :
Price Discount $10.00
Percentage discount – NO
Global? NO

on the event definitions,
for the question: “Allow Promo Codes?”
selected: “Global and Specific Promo Codes”

NOTE: prior attempt to select “All Promo Codes (even non-globals)” DID NOT WORK – promo codes were never recognized!

In General Settings, the question: “Allow discounts in the shopping cart?”
is set to YES

Hi,

Please update to the latest version of Event Espresso (3.1.36.4) as there was a fix added that should resolve this.

From the changelog:

Fixes an issue where Global discount/promo codes could not be applied to cart purchases
