Hi, I am using the multiple events plugin and I want to setup a promotional code that does the following:
I wanted to have one discount code for one ticket only. For example, if customer is purchasing 5 tickets ($5/each), enters the code and see the total of $20 and the message line that one ticket discounted 100%.
How can I make this happen?

Hello Sulayman,
The promotional code system can’t currently target a specific item in the cart. You would need to create a promo for a flat discount rate.
In your example, a promo code for $5 would work.

I tried that and it is taking $5 off every ticket we purchase which basically brings the total down to $0.00.

You are correct. The other option is to switch the promotion to apply a percentage discount.

So there is no way to give a flat discount off the whole shopping cart? Rather the discount applied to each individual ticket? I am confused.

No, you would need to apply a percentage based discount. When I tested yesterday, I had a single item in checkout so I did not see that it applied on a per ticket basis.
