I am using EE3. I have 3 promo codes for an event. They are showing up on the sidebar and they are checked. I have “Global and Specific Promo Codes” selected in the dropdown box. I have a promo code box on the registration form. When I use the promo code in the promo code box it does not calculate the discount on the registration form. What am I missing? Allow Promo Codes? 3-5 BMP PM Events-12.00 6-8 BMP PM Events-24.00 9-12 BMP PM Events-36.00 |
Hi there, In Event Espresso 3, the discounted prices will display on the following page after the registration form is submitted. |

Hi, What page? After I press the confirm registration and the confirmation comes up it is not showing a discounted price or the promo codes. |
The page immediately following the registration form. The discount notification will look like this: |

This is not working on my end. Below is what I get on the verify registration. It should be showing a 12.00 discount. Ohio State Championships Event Registration Cxxxxxxx Xxxxxx |
That’s unusual. May I ask would it be possible to send temporary admin access for the site so we can investigate? If so, you can send that information via the secure form on this page: |

Hi there, We found the reason why the promo code isn’t being applied: It’s because the actual ticket’s price is 0.00. When the ticket price is 0.00 the Promo code feature gets effectively skipped over. Along with that, promo codes cannot be applied to price modifiers. If you need promo code functionality for this event, you’ll need to set the ticket price to be equal or greater than the amount of the promo discount. |

This makes total sense to me NOW. 5 or so years ago when I set this up we were not offering discounts. Due to 64 events (tickets) for the competition being all different prices I used the price modifier instead of the one ticket price. I am in the middle of the competition registration now, the deadline is 3/23/18. I cannot change this process midstream. Would there be a workaround? Actually, only 4 of the 64 events (tickets) need the promo code attached. Thank you so much for your great customer service. I can ALWAYS count on you. |
One workaround you could use is instead of using a promo code, you can offer lower-priced price modifiers that could be optionally selected instead of the full-price price modifiers. |

THANK YOU for your insight. I will make it work in the way you suggested. |
