I am looking to purchase the business license and need to know about additional fees.

I am comparing some pricing against EE. One question that comes to mind is there service or processing fees with accepting credit card payments or payments in general?

Hello Mark,

Event Espresso installs on your WordPress powered website and does not have a mechanism for charging our customers additional fees. However, depending on what payment provider you decide to use, such as PayPal or Authorize.net, you may be charged transaction processing fees by the payment provider.

Does that help?

Hi Mark,

The only merchant fees would be those that are charged by your payment processor. Here is an example:

PayPal Standard charges 2.9% + .30 per transaction (https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/merchant-fees)

The are no extra merchant fees for using Event Espresso.

Cheers

Lorenzo

Hi! I also have a question regarding fees. We are a theater company in Germany, and would prefer to use the normal German banking system as a means to charge our customers. Normally this is free for the user and the merchant. (In other words, I’d prefer to avoid taking credit cards or using paypal.) Is this possible?

Hi Abigail,

We offer a Bank Transfer gateway. This does NOT actually transfer money but allows you to provide the information needed for the customer to make a bank transfer payment.
