When a costumer selects “SEPA Lastschrift” (which is “direct debit” in english i guess), the following happens:

the payments gets rejected with the error:
“your banking account cant be used for a payment. please use a credit card!”

then the client receives a mail with a confirmation for SEPA Lastschrift with an ID. (no transaction code)

if the client then uses the same banking account again, the payment sometimes (!) works.

paypal cant help me on that. tried every kind of costumer service….

do you have any help?

I invested into event espresso because it seemed the only plugin which allows SEPA Lastschrift thats why im a little frustrated about it not working correctly…

thanx for input!

Hi there,

Can you add some screenshots that each of the steps mentioned above?

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots

The PayPal smart buttons payment method is an offsite payment method, it basically loads an iframe which loads the PayPal’s site so we don’t have control over the payment method that display/work on PayPal’s site itself.

The SEPA option is likely location based as I don’t have that option when testing this but as far as I am aware you’ll need to discuss this with PayPal themselves as the option is loading on their servers, not within Event Espresso.
