Hi – I am having lots of problems with EE after I switched hosting companies. Two issues that I know of are:
1) Some events pages are blank with no content (see picture 1). It’s weird because other events show the contents (see picture 2)
2) on the main “Events” page sometimes shows the ticket selector and sometimes doesn’t . See picture 3 and 4.

This is a base64 issue? Or is it something else? My new hosting company is BlueHost.

Thank you.

Hi there,

When the site was migrated to the other server, was the database copied over or was it migrated with a tool like WP Migrate DB?

It was copied via the Vault Press backup restore. However, I did change the location of the public_html to make sure the links are correct.

Were those changes made within serialized arrays?

Hi Josh – I’m going to go w/ a “no” on that one. I don’t really know what that means. I basically changed the folder location by changing the account name in phpmyadmin. The only table I found that had the specific links were in the Options table. Does that help?

Hi Ray,

It sounds like the database was not correctly migrated to be used on the new server.

When you go into the database and manually change text strings in the options table, this leads to two potential errors:

1) Not all of the strings get changed.
2) If the string that has a url or file path is part of serialized data, the serialized data gets damaged when it’s edited in phpmyadmin.

Here’s a link to a guide that outlines 3 excellent solutions that you can use to ensure the database get migrated correctly:
