Problem with sending Payment Reminders (Message: "Sorry…")

Hi there,

We are experiencing trouble with sending out Payment Reminders. We use an e-mail with the following link in the message:

<p class=”callout”>u kunt [PAYMENT_URL]make payment ».</p>

Now people do receive the message, but when they click on the payment link, they get a message saying: “Sorry…”

Has someone encountered this before? And found a way to solve this?

Hi Manuela,

Are user themselves reporting this or is this an issue you have found?

Its not clear what the actual error message is from the above, is there an event we can register on to view this?

the problem arises when an administrator sends out payment reminders. The sending of the reminder goes well. But the problem is there when the user clicks on the link to pay for the event. Then they see this message “Sorry…”
I think someone should look in to our adminpanel.

Hello,

Could you try making the following changes:

1) Go to WP-admin (WordPress dashboard) –> Event Espresso –> General Settings. Look for the primary email field and ensure that a valid email address is entered there. If it does not then update the field and save changes.

2) Next, go to Messages –> Settings. Look for the Payment Reminder message type and drag it to the right box to deactivate it. Then immediately drag it to the left box to reactivate it. Here is an example:

Then try resending the payment reminder for any transaction.

If it still fails, then please share a screenshot of the payment reminder message type while you are viewing it in the messages editor.

Looking over your screenshot again, it looks like your registrations are set to ‘Not Approved’.

Do the registrations have an orange status bar within the registration list? – http://take.ms/LA48V

Great.

So I’m not sure where the ‘sorry’ messages is from currently, but EE will not allow a registration to pay if they are ‘not a reproved’. They should be pending payment (blue).

Can you check within your event and see what the ‘Default registration status’ is set to please. You may run into this again if your events arepprovedre all set to use not approved by default.
