From Messages, I see a Custom Message Template – 2019 Excellence Dinner Sponsor Payment Received. From the Event itself, at the bottom in Template In Use, I see the same template name. But when I click on Edit beside the template, I see a different message than the one I see in Custom Message Template. Why aren’t they the same?
Each message template has multiple ‘contexts’ in which they are used, an each of those contexts can be edited independently (you may include different info for the event admin than you would the registrant, it’s the same message, just used in a different context).
At the top of the page you’ll likely see ‘(Event Admin Recipient)’
There’s a dropdown just below the tabs on that page, select the context you want to edit there and click ‘Switch Recipient’…. do you see the correct template now?
To explain a little more, when you click on the edit button in the event editor, it defaults to open to ‘Event Admin’ context.
I’m guessing you’ve been editing the message sent to the registrant, so you see the event admin template and need to switch over.
