Good morning, after updating to Version 4.10.22.p of the plugin, people who want to register for an event cannot send the pdf with proof of payment. Annex screenshot with the problem.

In “Event Espresso – Edit Question” view this error:

“Because there are currently answers for this question in the database, your options to change the question type have been limited to similar question-types.

Greetings.

Hi there,

Can explain further what the issue is, please?

The message you’ve added will be shown when there are answers related to a question, you can’t then edit that question to make it something different as you’ll break the related answers… so the above is expected.

Ok, but you would need an email address to be able to send screenshots and explain the problem better.

Thanks.

You can use support@eventespresso.com

Or host the image and post a link here, either is fine.

Hi there,

Both screenshots 1 & 2 are both editing Question #18 but the page is different, was anything done differently between those 2 screenshots?

So the issue you are getting is the spinning icon never stops?

Officially Event Espresso doesn’t provide support for add-ons we didn’t create but I can take a look and see if anything stands out.

Can you link me an event I can run a test registration on?

“So the issue you are getting is the spinning icon never stops?” Yes.

I’m not getting that issue, but I do see an error stating to enter a Valid URL in that field, which means the validation is failing for whatever value is being passed.

Then if I switch and reupload a JPG that appears to work.

Can you walk through the steps and what happens, please?

Well, the problem continues with the wheel spinning and the image does not upload to the server 🙁

Would it be possible to download version 4.10.21 that worked correctly?

The problem will continue until I know how to reproduce.

Can you walk through the steps and what happens, please?

What file format are you uploading?

Would it be possible to download version 4.10.21 that worked correctly?

That’s not really a solution as you’re then stuck on that version.

Problem is I can do exactly the same and don’t run into that issue:

So can’t see what is happening.

Which browser are you using?

If you open the Dev Tools (or whatever your browser has available) and view the console section when you test the above do you see any errors there?

Hello Toni, we have carried out tests after today’s update to version 4.10.23 and in Chrome and Firefox it works correctly but in Safari the waiting wheel continues to appear.

We use MacOS system.

Greetings.

Hmm, strange.

If you check the server error logs can you see any errors from around the same time you trying to upload the file?

If not, try adding this your to your sites wp-config.php file:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#wpdebug

Your file will likely already have:

define( 'WP_DEBUG', false );

and the above snippet replaces it.

Then try uploading the file again and let me know when it fails, the above should then create a log file I can view.

I don’t have a mac so I can’t test this on Safari, it’s working fine for me on Chrome and FF.
