Hello,

Could you share a few screenshots from your datetimes and ticket area in your event editor?

Here is how to share a screenshot with us:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots

I’d like to check to see if a quantity limit on the ticket (pricing option) or datetime was reached.

Hi,

Thanks for the screenshot. I was able to see the issue.

Every event in Event Espresso has at least one date time and this is when an event takes place. For example, February 16th.

Your single date time option has a limit of 11 and you have already had 11 registrations.

Looking at your ticket option, I see that is set to 11. You have reached the limit of the registrations on the datetime so the event is becoming sold out.

If there are actually more spaces available, then increase the quantity for the limit for the datetime and the ticket option and then save changes to the event.

ok i am trying to grasp the picture,

status is “sold out” because event reached limit of registrations.
why is the event not showing in the upcoming widget?
as I mentioned, it shows in the eventlist shortcode…

why is the event not showing in the upcoming widget?

Can you post a link to the event page, and a link to the page on your site that has the widget so we can take a look?

Left: sortcode list events
Righte: Some misging in the widget

OK so technically what happens is when an published event becomes sold out, its post status gets switched to sold_out, and the Upcoming events widget only checks for Published events. We can add sold_out to an array of post statuses so that sold out events will also be included there in the widget.

That would be great Josh,
Do you have an instruction?

We’re going to add this to a future version of EE4, so no instructions for this.

clear, is there a way to make a custom template for the widget,
if not, what sort of time period do you talk about with a future
version. (feedback for my client)

This isn’t something that’s controlled by a template, it actually happens when the events are queried. There’s a branch that’s been started that has the changes, and it’s been sent to testers for testing. It’s available to download here:

Hey you can actually update to Event Espresso 4.9.30.p, it includes the fix for the widget.
