I’m wondering if Event Espresso is suitable for my WordPress site. Here’s what I need. I’d greatly appreciate if someone could tick these boxes for me – it would save me a lot of coding!! Events- Users- Payments- Event Organising- Admin- UI- Thanks in advance. |

My reading since posting causes me to think I should explain a bit further on the ‘Private’ and ‘Invitation’ pieces. I need to create ‘invitation only’ events. Whether or not they’re listed publicly doesn’t matter too much unless all details are exposed. When creating an event, I want to add a single user. The event probably needs a ‘GroupName’ or similar property for the next bit. I need to allow that first user, and perhaps subsequent users, to ‘invite’ others to the event. The invitation should issue to a provided email, and upon accepting the invitation, the invitee should be added to the same group, and only the same group. The ‘GroupName’ piece should prevent users registered to other groups from accessing this event. That is: Many registered users may exist, but each can only access the event to which they have been invited. |
Hi Toner, Event Espresso does not have an invitation feature for registrants at this time. However, there is a feature for private events that are protected via a password. — |

Lorenzo, Thanks for your reply. I’ve spent some time with a demo since posting and I’ve managed to find some answers. I may well be able to work with the password instead of the invite. Here’s something I couldn’t yet answer – Thanks. |
Hi, could you take a look at the ideas on this page? https://gist.github.com/lorenzocaum/c49bda15961f9f7d19ab Would one of those work for your project? — |

Lorenzo, I think one of those options could work. This is looking promising. For the newsletter referred to within those suggestions, Can the newsletter be sent by the ‘Event Owner’/ ‘Primary Registrant’ if such person is a WP subscriber. Thanks. |
Hi the term newsletter is a generic term for the batch email feature in Event Espresso 4. Technically, an event admin or event author will be able to send a message to all available registrants. However, for the tutorial, they would want to send only to the registrants for a specific event. This can be done by filtering to that specific event (Event Espresso –> Events –> Hover over event name and click on Registrants). That will show a page of registrants for this specific event. — |
