Is there a way to create an event that the public can see in order to get the information (so i don’t want to set the WP event page to private) but would it be possible to create maybe a code that the registrant would need to enter in order to successfully register for the event. So the public could get the information and then contact us via email and we would provide some sort of code/password or whatever in order for them to then register for the event online.
Thanks for your response. That is not what I am wanting to do. I know how to set a WP page to password protected. I want the event/page to be public so visitors can see the information. However, I do NOT want them to be able to register for the event without a code/promotion etc… They should need to contact us so we can go through a screening process and then if its a fit we provide a pin/code/promotion etc… in order to allow them to go back to the same page and register. Is this possible?
One way you can accomplish something similar is set the Default Registration Status for the event to be “Not Approved”. They’ll be able to fill out a registration form, but their registration will need to be approved by an admin before they’ll be able to pay or finalize their registration.
