Hi,
I am wanting a private event to show on my event calendar. But I do not want the Register Now button. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Cindra,
Yes, you edit the event and where it says Event Registration Options, you set Display Ticket Selector to No.

Ok. That worked. But there are still some visual issues:
1. In order to have it show up on the calendar I have to mark it as the calendar category. But that category also is being shown on a page. And when this event is shown on that page it is duplicating information (probably because of custom work Lorenzo did). See screen shot.
2. Is there a way to have it not listed on the page but still have it in the calendar? For example, I could make a new category for the private events and then have the calendar show both categories and then just have the one category listed on the page. Is this an option?
3. When it shows in the calendar and you hover over and press “view details” you get the second screen shot which looks good except the box is not around the event. Please help me fix.

Hi Cindra,

Is that because your calendar shortcode is set to only show events that have the “calendar” category assigned to it? If so, the easy solution is remove the category parameter.
2. Is there a way to have it not listed on the page but still have it in the calendar?
May I ask which page are you referring to?

I’m afraid we’ll need to be able to see the actual page (not a screenshot) in order to be able to suggest a fix. Can you publish the event?
