My initial use cases have involved two events with the same price.

I would presume that if the new event is a higher price, the notification e-mail includes the link for payment.

But how does this handle if the new event is a lower price?

Hello,

Refunds are not automatically processed.

You would need to manually refund the registrant/attendee through the merchant account.

For example, if you are using a payment service like Braintree, then you would login to your Braintree account and refund the difference and it will be returned to the registrant/attendees credit card within a couple business days.

That’s what I thought. Thanks!

So… now that I’ve tried it some more…

If I move to a higher priced ticket, it’s still Approved (even though it is now Incomplete). So it *doesn’t* automatically send the Payment Pending e-mail.
If I resend the e-mail, with the front-end link (see my other post), it shows me the information for the registrant(s), but it does not let me go to the payment page. (and the data does not export into the csv file)

I have tried switching the ticket to “Pending Payment” and sent the e-mails… go through the link as above, but it still does not let me get to the Payment page.

I’m not sure if this is a problem with the plugin or something elsewhere in the EE Core application. But it is somewhat self-defeating if I can’t easily get payment from someone.

I have some screen grabs if you’d like.

(this goes back to why we need to be able to apply promotions, etc, from the admin side, not by going back through the front-end)

May I ask if you have the current version of EE4? The current version should update the transaction totals when a registration is changed to a different priced ticket like how you described.

We were using 4.9.9 of the core app and 1.0.8 of Promotions. I have just upgraded both (4.9.11 and 1.0.10 respectively).

The transaction total updated, but I could not go back and either pay or apply a promotion.

I’m working with one where we change events, and another where we change the ticket within an event. The former seems to work fine — it makes me update the attendee information, and then indicates that it’s incomplete/pending payment, and I can click there and get to the payment page (and apply a promotion). The latter does not seem to be working correctly.

I will separately send you a series of screen grabs.

Applying a promotion in the admin isn’t currently supported. That’s something we’d like to add in a future iteration of the Promotions add-on.
