Hi,
We are looking for the following:
1) post tickets online to certain venues
2) have the ability for the user to pay with Paypal or credit card
3) print tickets and redeem infront of the venue
3) how does #3 work? How does the venue bouncer verify if this is paid or not paid?
Please advise which version fits this description, thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.
I think that currently Event Espresso 3 (plus the Ticketing Addon) would be the best solution for you.
1) Events and Venues are created separately. Then a venue can be assigned to an event. The user then registers for the event.
2) Not a problem, EE3 supports a large number of payment gateways including PayPal. PayPal can also be set (via your own PayPal account) to accept credit cards. https://eventespresso.com/features/payment-options/ (click the EE3 tab!)
3) The user will be emailed a link to the ticket and they can either print off the ticket or use the link on their mobile phone. With the Ticketing addon and the mobile apps we supply, your staff can then scan the QR code on the ticket to verify it is valid.

Hello, we will want the following but do not know which version or price level we will require:
1. early bird and other pricing levels determined by date
2. group pricing (4 or more receive discount) we would also like to have this price determined by date.
3. mailchimp integration (maybe, this is optional for us)
4. ticket verification by QR code at event

1 – EE3 can do some of this, but EE4 does it better.
2 – This is only doable with EE4.
3 – This is only available right now with EE3.
4 – This is only available right now with EE3.
