My company has a user who needs the ability to create and manage regional events in EE, and I think EE Permissions Pro will work. However, I do not want this user to have access to the WP Dashboard or any other edit/author capabilities.

What level of access to I grant to this user? What will his/her screen look like to manage/create events?

Do I also need the Roles & Permissions add-on? Please advise.

Hi John,

The Roles and Permissions Pro plugin requires the installation of Roles and Permissions Basic because they share the same core functionality. The Pro add-on adds a few more features. It allows you to assign new WP user roles like Event Managers, Regional Managers, and Espresso Admins. These roles do have access to a minimal WP dashboard (they don’t get access to the plugins admin and it can be set to not allow them to create posts/pages). If you sign up for access to the free test drive site you’ll see Roles and Permissions in action, we use it there.
