I’m looking to add Event Espresso but wanted to outline my use-case and see if it will work. Here’s the scenario:
We are hosting a FREE one-day conference that has a number of concurrent sessions throughout the day. I would like users to be able to register for the conference and select the sessions they would like to attend. I would be nice if users could log into their account at any time and view/change the sessions they are registered for. I would also like to set capacities for the individual sessions.
Based on other posts in the forum, I see suggestions to have the conference registration and each session a separate events. Just curious if there’s an alternative way to set it up. Again, it’s a completely free event so payment processing isn’t required. Also, I would only need a single ticket for each user (they don’t need a ticket for each session..just for the full conference).
It would be easiest with EE4, but they would be required to register for tickets for each session.
I would create on Main Conference ticket, and make it required.
Then make the individual session their own tickets, but do not make them required. Attendees will not be able to modify their ticket selection.
