i have setup a website using wplms theme and after installing event espresso the single event page is not opened with the postname permalink setup for the website
i tried to change the permalink structure so only for default permalink the single event page opens while for postname permalink it dont (and we need postname permalink to fully run the website without errors)
http://db/dev/events/test-event-one/ (this never works)
http://db/dev/?espresso_events=test-event-one (this pattern always works)
so any insight about this problem is really appreciated

So are the permalinks currently set to default or another option?

it is currently set to postname permalink option and right now event single is not showing

Hi Omar, does your theme have an existing post type for “events”?
If you aren’t sure, then does your theme have any built-in registration or events functionality? If so, the events slug may be reserved by the theme.
You could try changing the default events slug that Event Espresso 4 uses.

Hi Lorenzo, i will try this but there is a one more problem
if i activate twenty fifteen theme and check event espresso on this theme still the single event page is not shown when the permalink is set to postname so this rule out the possibility of the theme we are using something else is wrong
can you help me in this regard why this is happening

Thank you Lorenzo by changing the slug fixed the postname permalink problem
