After a student registers and activates their WP User account, I start getting a steady stream of emails titled “Post SMTP email error”
Content is
“You getting this message because an error detected while delivered your email.
For the domain: XXXX The log to paste when you open a support issue:
No body specified.
(Actual email correctly displays my domain after “For the domain:..)
Have had my IT guru has tracked it down to either Event Espresso or LearnDash plugins.
Once the Post smtp plugin was reset to default (not using Microsoft) it seems to have resolved the issue but a student did a P/Word reset on their WP User account and triggered the errors again.
Any suggestions on what might be the cause would be greatly appreciated.

May I ask how they tracked it down to Event Espresso or LearnDash?
The reason I ask is:
Once the Post smtp plugin was reset to default (not using Microsoft) it seems to have resolved the issue but a student did a P/Word reset on their WP User account and triggered the errors again.
That email has nothing to do with either EE or LD, its a core WP email and apparently still triggers the error.
It sounds like Post SMTP can not communicate with your SMTP server, from the above it sounds like your using Outlook to send emails, correct?
