Hi, I have a new install of EE4 on a site I’m developing. The site is here: http://lifelinks.org/mhconference/, and my test event can be access from the “Online Registration” link.
2 questions: A) how can I set up my EE event on a page? Right now it looks just like a blog post (even uses the blog sidebar widgets, etc). I want a standalone page with a Registration Form for my event on that page. Is this possible?
B) When you click the Online Registration link, you’ll see that somehow EE is messing up my contact form at the bottom of that page (click “contact” to see what it should look like). Any ideas on what is going on here and how I can resolve it?
I checked your site and the trouble with the events page may be that Event Espresso 4 will not run on this theme. The theme developer may be able to clarify or have a work around. It may be that the custom post type route won’t load, so a possible work around might be to place a ticket selector shortcode on a page.
This gets into your question about if it’s possible to embed a reg form on a page, Event Espresso 4 does not have an embeddable registration form shortcode. It does have a ticket selector shortcode that you can place on a page. If you go to your event editor you look under the title for a button that says “Shortcode” it will give you a shortcode you can copy and paste onto a regular WordPress page.
Hope that helps!
