<p>[payment_url] allows registrations of event after expiration/closing. Tested and found that [payment_url] will lead to receipt page once transaction is complete.
process
Registered for event.-> received default registration confirmation email. -> event and registration expire-> followed [payment_url] link successfully-> successfully paid for expired event.
I’m not sure why you think this is a bug. An event manager may allow payment for a ticket after the event has already started. Especially if a prior arrangement (or even a deposit) has been made. We know of some users of Event Espresso that run continuous events and their customers pay according to their billing cycle, which means the payment may occur after the event.
Along with that, what you’ve reported here doesn’t indicate that someone can register for an event, they’d have to be registered before they get the email with the payment URL.
It’s not the registrtaion that is the issue, but the payment. I was able to follow the [payment_url] link and pay for an event 10 days after it occurred.
Thanks Josh. So the short code is functioning accordingly. Is there a return to registration url short code? That would be more useful in this application.
Please note that if the registration has a completed payment, the [payment_url] shows the record of completed payment.
