Hi,
I’m trying to append user’s Google Analytics clientId to completed reg forms. I have done this on our contact form 7s using this method – https://mixedanalytics.com/blog/send-ga-client-id-wordpress-contact-form-7 – and need to have the same thing for event registrations (so I can track converting users’ pathways across our domains). I’ve tried lots of different methods but had no luck – any suggestions? In Contact Form 7, ‘[hidden textarea-123 id:hidId]’ creates a hidden form field with an ID of ‘hidId’, and then GTM looks for ID ‘hidId’ and populates it. How does Event Espresso handle adding IDs to form fields? Should I use advanced custom fields, a normal question, or perhaps even put an invisible contact form 7 on the thank you page!?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

The issue seems to be that I need to add an ID to the form field – is this possible?

Hi there,

My apologies but I’m a little confused by the link you included as it relates to including the Client ID in the CF7 email, yet your question above refers to the thank you page.

May I ask what it is you want need to do?

For example, are do you just need to load some JavaScript on the thank you page to trck when that loads?

Do you need a hidden value on the reg form? If so, why do you need to add it to the form? I suspect that’s related to what you are trying to achieve rather than a requirement in itself but I’m not really sure.

If I can help point you in the right direction to add something within a/the page(s) I’ll happily do so, but I’m not sure I understand what you need to do yet.
