Event Espresso does a lot, and to make that happen it loads up more code than WordPress itself, so’s that’s why it’s expected to use more resources than your average WordPress plugin. This is especially the case if there are a lot of attendees and events in the database. Have you tried upgrading the server so it has more resources?
