Hello We urgently need the licence key reset on our account as we are in the process of moving the site, and it says pending…. how long is this going to take as it is seriously holding up our developer

Hi there,

Your support key has been reset. Please note that because the support key does not affect the functionality of the software, the site can be/could have been moved before the support key being reset.

Hi Josh, thanks for the update, we have moved the site but are getting a license key conflict issue in the admin on the new site,we have uninstalled, removed the key form the old site and deactivated the EE plugins

error message: Your support license key is only valid for one domain at a time, and our licensing system has detected that you are using your license key on multiple domains. Hi Josh

the EE plugins seem to be all installed but we still have that error message, is this an issue… do we just ignore it?

We are also having issues with the login screen and some kind of conflict with EE plugin

Hi there,

Your license key has been pinging our server from 3 different domains (Localhost, a hoix domain and your standard domain).

If you key is in use on multiple domains it will cause the key to be invalidated when each of the domains pings the server. The key should only be used on a single site to prevent that from happening.

Have you removed the key from the other sites?

Hello Tony,
We are checking now re the support licences are you able to email me the IP addess for the LocalHost site that is pining your server.

Also we have recently moved the site to a new server runinng a more recent version of PHP so that is why there are at least 2 site using the Key, Our issue now is that the move and upgrade has not gone well and we appear to have duplicate events and missing events that were live with 50+ subscriptions sold, How are we able to now access data from the old site to check what has gone missing as the key issue will not allow us to activate the plugin on the pervious site – how do other people work around this issue?
thanks

I can request more info for you, on checking it looks like the last ping received from localhost was on July 4th.

Did the reset work on and prevent the notice on the ‘live’ site?

Our issue now is that the move and upgrade has not gone well and we appear to have duplicate events and missing events that were live with 50+ subscriptions sold

How was the site moved over? Did you use a plugin to migrate the database, if so which one?

How are we able to now access data from the old site to check what has gone missing as the key issue will not allow us to activate the plugin on the pervious site

Just don’t add the key to the ‘second’ site, not having a key set does not alter EE functionality at all, it allows for one click updates and support.

If you are having issues on the site that does not have the key set it is down to something other than not having a key set within EE.

Ok Thank you we have removed the key from the old site and EE is accessible.

We didn’t use a plugin to migrate the data, it was done via the database and was a bit manual, would have to check with the developer

You can close this ticket off now I will need to open another ticket re other issues we are having .

thanks for your assistance

This is important and could to be the cause of the problems you mentioned above. It depends on exactly what ‘manual’ means in this case, but a simple search and replace is not enough to move a WordPress DB as it can very easily break any serialized objects saved to the DB.
