On our event listing pages is there a way to place the quantity selection box on this page next to each event? http://semcme.tmvgroup.com.php53-14.ord1-1.websitetestlink.com/semcme-courses/ , so we can eliminate the step where the user clicks “view details” sees a similar page, only with a quantity box?

To reiterate I want to be able to select the quantity from the event listing page, then click the button which would take me directly to the form so I can bypass the intermediate step that currently has the quantity selector and duplicate info.

Hi Matt,

You can try pasting the specific event shortcodes into the description. The shortcode button is just above the description area of the event editor. Click that button and you will see a shortcode you can copy.

Please let me know whether that works for you.

Hi Jonathan,

Unfortunately thats not what I am looking for. I have this page: http://semcme.tmvgroup.com.php53-14.ord1-1.websitetestlink.com/semcme-courses/
which is showing all events using this shortcode: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS]

I want each of the event listings on that page to have the quantity selector so I no longer need the event detail pages.

In a real example I would select my quantity for the event on this page:
http://semcme.tmvgroup.com.php53-14.ord1-1.websitetestlink.com/semcme-courses/
then click “view details” button which would take me directly to my form page for that event say: http://semcme.tmvgroup.com.php53-14.ord1-1.websitetestlink.com/event-registration/?ee=_register

I would basically be completely skipping over this page: http://semcme.tmvgroup.com.php53-14.ord1-1.websitetestlink.com/events/workshop-i-formulating-research-hypothesis/

Does that make sense?

Hi Jonathan,

We attempted some other things.

we want to put the add qty “[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=\””.$post->ID.”\”]” and render the short code programmatically.

When we do this the add qty/cart but displays on the content-espresso_events.php page however even though it uses the same template, the code will NOT render the shortcode on the loop-espresso_events.php that loops through
and calls content-espresso_events.php. We want to display the qty button on the loop-espresso_events.php page

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

The ESPRESSO_EVENTS shortcode displays the Ticket Selector by default. Can you check the General Settings > Templates tab and see if the Display Ticket Selector option is set to Yes or No. If no, please change to yes.

Hi Matt,

Sorry for the misguidance there. Dean is correct. If you set that template setting to display the ticket selector, you should get what you are wanting.

Dean!!
That was the ticket, I enabled that and its working like a well oiled steam engine.

Thanks a million!
