Hi,

I’m running PHP 4.6 FastCGI on Dreamhost and am getting this error message in my WordPress Admin:

Event Espresso recommends PHP version 5.4.44 or greater for optimal performance. You are currently running version 5.4.42.
In order to update your version of PHP, you will need to contact your current hosting provider.
For information on stable PHP versions, please go to http://php.net/downloads.php.

Any ideas why this is? I’ve confirmed that I’m actually running 5.6.

Thanks,

J.D.

Hi there,

You can dismiss the notice and it will go away. If it previously detected the older version of PHP, it stores that as a value in the options table.

Okay, thanks. Storing the warning makes sense. I thought it was currently detecting it. Thanks for your help.
