We had some compability issues with PHP Version 8 and causing errors in the registration form. We switched it back to PHP 7.4. Any idea why we had this issue and can it be resolved?
Here are the issues we encountered:
When Payment button in espresso next to registration is clicked error says
There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
when invoice button is espresso is clicked error says
FPDF error: Undefined font: helvetica B
This is an error message that I received during the registration process
There has been a critical error on this website.
Error there has been a fatal error thrown in PHP which will have been logged i the server’s PHP error logs. Can you take a look in the logs and see if what errors are shown there, then post them here?
Your host will usually have a section to view errors thrown on your site within your control panel.
Or they may store them within an error_log (or similar) file within the root directory of the site.
I need the actual error being thrown on the site to be able to investigate this, the above are the ‘front facing’ or ‘pretty’ errors but they don’t show where in the core its from.
