Hi there I am getting this error:

The maximum number of inputs on this page has been exceeded. You cannot add anymore items (i.e. tickets, datetimes, custom fields) on this page because of your servers PHP “max_input_vars” setting.
There are 1006 inputs and the maximum amount currently allowed by your server is 1000.

I tried following this advice:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/max-inputs-exceeded-on-event-page/

I don’t really know how to add this to my htaccess file. I added it to the end, but it crashed my site. Can you give me some instruction on how to do this?

Thanks

I spoke to soon. I added:
php_value max_input_vars 3000

To the end of the htaccess file and it worked for a bit and then the site crashed. Can you tell me how to write this please? Thank you.

Hi there,

Generally, if you make a mistake in your htaccess file it will crash the site immediately rather than work for a little and then crash.

When you say the site has crashed what is happening?
