A while back, one of our events randomly disappeared even though it had registrations attached. We use EE to enroll students in a LearnDash course. A student registered for a course through EE, but now her user is messed up since the event in EE is no longer there. I deleted the transaction for the registration so I could delete the registration. When I deleted the registration, it threw a critical WordPress error and an error at the top that the event is no longer there. I was finally able to delete the registration (or so I thought).
I deleted the student’s user and created a new one using the same email as before. Well the registration is still showing up in the new user…how can I delete it for good? I haven’t been able to enroll the student back into her course because of this. Please help!

May I ask how you deleted the registration?

Huh?
The way registrations are linked to the user is through their EE_Contact (not the same as the WP User), creating a new user account shouldn’t link that new user to the EE_Contact unless you also added registrations as that user?

If various related data has been removed from the database then you’ll likely need to manually remove that registration from the DB.
You mentioned you deleted the transaction, did you do that through the EE user interface or the database?
Can you see this registration under Event Espresso -> Registrations? (Also check the ‘Trash’ filter at the top of the table)
