This one was a hard one to search for so here goes.

I use the custom post type feature to display events in a specific way on my home page. This works great, however the “permalink” leads to the single post type template and not the “registration page” (eg http://mysite.com/event-registration/?ee=1)

This wouldn’t be a problem if I was only using the custom post types. However whenever I use the other calendar views/shortcodes elsewhere on the site the “permalink” used is the ?ee=1 format and not my custom posts type.

Effectively making my site have two single event templates to manage.

Is there a way I can link my custom post type permalinks on the home page, to the ?ee=1 registration page, instead of the single events post type page?

I’m thinking the solution is something along the lines of linking my home page events to the event-registration page and inserting the ID…?

Hi Josiah,

How are you today?

You could try to do as suggested if you can add a redirect from your posts page to the EE URL. I’m not sure if there’s a plugin available to do something like that but it’s likely.
