Our event has 1 required ticket and a bunch of free tickets. The definition for pending payment states
How does this affect tickets and seats? If a registration is pending payment, do the free tickets behave like they are approved? |
Hi, a free ticket option (no payment needed) would count as a registration. If a payment is due on a ticket, then that would not count until the registrant/attendee has completed their payment. — |

Perfect! |

How does this work when one ticket is paid and other tickets are free? From what we can tell, unless the 1 ticket is paid, the free registrations do *not* count. |
Hi, only the registrations for the paid tickets should be affected (e.g. counted against the registration limit on a ticket). This is because there is a link between an attendee/registrant and a ticket option. — |

Hi, I’m sending another post as my prior reply may be confusing. A registration via a free ticket will be approved and that should update the ticket quantity remaining. A registration via paid ticket should also be approved and update the ticket quantity remaining. A registration that is pending payment should not update the ticket quantity remaining since this person has not paid yet. — |

OK, that confirms the behavior we have been seeing, thanks. |
Just to add to this. If you have a mixture of Paid and Free tickets within a registration, none of the tickets will be approved until the Paid ticket is Approved. So in your example you have a registration free, then the classes are ‘free’ (because your paying the registration free) so when someone registers for the Registration Free ticket and 3 of the classes, the 3 ‘Free’ tickets will remain Pending Payment. |
