Pending Payment message not being sent

I created a test event and completed the registration, but did not complete payment. But did not receive a payment pending email.

Hi Paul,

In most cases you shouldn’t see a payment pending email being sent. For example, if you fill out the registration form, then submit that form, a pending payment message will not be sent at that point. The pending payment message will send if there’s an offline payment method activated, then selected, and the Finalize Registration button is clicked after selecting the offline payment method.

So was there an offline payment method selected and followed by clicking on a finalize registration button?

hi Josh, no there was not.

I wanted it sent in the case where someone fills out the registration form, Clicks on Proceed to Payment Options, but then does not click Proceed to Finalize Registration, or does click it and when they get to PayPal, they stop the process and do not pay.

I want the Payment Pending email to automatically be sent to them so they have the link to finish payment, so we don’t have a lot of duplicate regstrations.

It doesn’t do that. If it did, then everyone would get a payment pending email automatically before they paid, even if they paid within a few minutes.
