Hi!
We have the courses set to pending payments yet they are still taking up classroom space. For example, we have a capacity of 10 people in one class. It showed that the class was full. Only 6 people showed up. We looked into it and 4 people did not pay and did not come. We just lost 4 registrations. What else do you recommend we do to fix this issue? As it is a very costly one for us.
Thanks.
Registrations with a status of ‘Approved’ are counted towards the sold values within an event, anything else is not, with the exception of ‘reserved’ tickets.
Reserved tickets are those that have started registration and EE has allocated a ticket to them during their session, which by default is 1 hour. After the hour has passed if the user has not paid and/or their registration has not been set to Approved (either automatically by EE or by the admin) the reserved space should be ‘released’ again.
The above function relies on WP_CRON to function so if there is an issue with reservations not releasing it is likely due to an issue with WP_CRON.
To check that go to Dashboard -> Tools -> Site Health.
Wait around 30 seconds for the tests to complete, any notices about scheduled tasks, loopback requests or cron events shown there?
In your screenshot, it looks like you already have WP Crontrol installed.
Go to Tools -> Cron Events and check if multiple cron events are behind schedule?
WP_CRON relies on users hitting the front end of the site, if you site has low traffic it can show up that tasks are late until a user hits the site.
