When an attendee signs up to and event, a PDF is displayed on the screen and a ticket is sent to his e-mail.

Both are different: The pdf does not have bar codes and the e-mail does.

I’m using EE4 with the printable tickets add-on.

How can I have the PDF and the ticket display the same information (I already now how to modify the ticket via the messages menu).

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob,

Can you link me to an event I can test this on please?

Hi Tony,

Here’s the link: http://feriadelempleo.es/ferias/feria-del-empleo-en-la-era-digital-c/

It’s in Spanish but pretty straightforward, all text required or checkboxes except for the e-mail field: correo electronico.

Thanks,

Rob

Is the PDF you are referring to within the Receipt/Invoice?

This one – http://take.ms/wWKsb

If so that’s a PDF created from the Invoice or Receipt template depending on which you have loaded. You can’t place the same information within the Invoice to be used as a ticket.

The tickets would be this link:

http://feriadelempleo.es/?ee=ee-txn-tickets-url&token=1-118858881eac73975312a2691b4eedd3

Correct?

Currently there is no PDF version of the tickets, the user can print them directly within the browser.

Yes, that’s the “guilty” pdf.

I don’t know if I’m loading the Invoice or Receipt. Can I disactivate the invoice/receipt being triggered?

Or can I trigger the ticket to be shown to user after checkout?

It’s a bit confusing to receive 2 different documents.

Thank you,

Rob

Hey Roberto,

Yes, you can remove the buttons from the receipt message template:

Please let us know if you have further questions.

One last thing please, how can I trigger the receipt to be shown from the thank you page?

It’s important to be able to do that for people that have to sign up and the door, so we can have them sign up and get their ticket without having to receive an e-mail.

Many thanks,

Rob

Hello Robert, that would require custom coding to setup. We try to be flexible where possible and provide sample coding examples but we do not have an example available at this time.

As a workaround (non-coding solution), you could add a link to the tickets in the receipt. A link to that is provided via the button below the congratulations messaging on the thank you page.

Go to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then go look for Receipt and click on Purchaser. Then the following shortcode could be added in the main content area and you could save changes:

Download available tickets: [TXN_TICKETS_APPROVED_URL]

Thank you Lorenzo.

That solution would work fine if I could print ONLY the 1st page of the ticket.

The reason is that I normally have 1 event and several tickets.

I only need the attendee to be able to print out the first one but if the attendee signs up to 5 tickets, 5 tickets are printed out and I only want the attendee to print out the first one.

How can I do this?

Thanks!

Rob

Hi Rob,

If an attendee/registrant has access based on their registration to multiple tickets, then they would receive all of them.

There isn’t a way to only show the first ticket since their registration allows access to all that are available.

Could you let us know what the use case for this is?

We may be able to share a workaround for handling this.

Hi Lorenzo,

The case is the following:

My event has different conferences. But only one main entry. I need them to sign up for the conferences so I can know how many aprox will be attending.

But the only ticket entry point is the main entrance.

Therefore if they sign up for 8 conferences, it makes no sense for them to receive 8 tickets + main entrance = 9 tickets.

I just need them to get one main ticket for the main door.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob,

You can include a link to download 1 ticket only by adding the following html (or similar) to the [EVENT_LIST] section of the Registration Approved email template:

Ticket: <a href="[RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL]"</a>Your Ticket
