Hello

Currently having issues downloading the receipt invoice PDF you can generate from registrants sign ups.

It redirects me to this link: **REMOVED**

which does not work, it shows my home page without any css.

Can someone please help me out?

Hi there,

That shouldn’t be an issue if you can update your site to the current version of Event Espresso 4 which includes a workaround for servers with older versions of libxml.

If updating to the current version does not help, you can contact your host to see if they have a mod security rule that gets tripped when you try to download the PDF.

The download works now, however on the receipt the [INVOICE_PAYEE_NAME}
& [INVOICE_PAYEE_TAX_NUMBER_*] are not showing?

I also get this error when trying to download the receipt:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4104 bytes) in /home/vetdynam/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/third_party_libs/dompdf/lib/class.pdf.php on line 3182

Means your site is running out of memory at roughly 138MB, I’m not getting that error when downloading both the Invoice and Receipt PDF’s on your site.

Do you still get the error?

The download works now, however on the receipt the [INVOICE_PAYEE_NAME}
& [INVOICE_PAYEE_TAX_NUMBER_*] are not showing?

If you edit the receipt template and remove those shortcodes, save the template, and then re-add them and save again, do they work then?

Strange… the site has plenty of memory (just checked CPanel)? How do I stop this?

How did you manage to access our site and download the PDF’s?

I am still getting the error, yes.

What did you check on cPanel? RAM? It may be showing the memory available on the server, not the memory available on your site.

Your site has ~138MB of memory available to it, depending on the plugins you have enabled and various other factors you may need more.

Downloading the PDF for both the invoice and receipt for the above I don’t see any errors?

I edited the receipt template and followed your instructions, but it is still not working…

We’ll need to do some investigating for this as I can’t reproduce.

Does the same happen if you ‘Preview’ the receipt from the message system?

Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates -> Receipt.

Click the Preview button at the top, do you still see the same there?

Hi Tony

I have removed inactive plugins and now the site downloads the receipt. However the tokens still do not work, so I have replaced them with the following and it still seems to work:

<div>[COMPANY] UK Ltd</div>
<div>[CO_TAX_NUMBER_*]</div>

That’s strange, I’ll do some digging and see if I can find anything further.

I realised the above looked like a valid invoice so I’ve removed all of the links to that invoice from this thread. As the forums are public I highly recommend if you are posting links directly to registrations/invoices/receipts etc they are only for test registrations you have made to show the problem.

I wasn’t sure if that was the case above, so I’ve removed them anyway.
