Paypal Refund Error – did not apply and also sent emails to all registrants

Tried to apply a refund for a cancelled event. Added the transaction code – clicked apply refund, seemed to regenerate the page, nothing in the Payapal account and emails requesting money sent to other registrants.Help as I don’t want to try again. Tim

Hi Tim,

You’ll actually need to initiate the refunds from your PayPal account. The apply refund option in Event Espresso only updates the transaction information for accounting purposes.

Did you check any of the boxes next to “Send Related Messages”? If yes that might be why.
