Hi, All the pages on my website has forced SSL. I am currently using the debugging setting for PayPal. When I purchase the ticket the payment are going through and the customer is getting the email from my website to confirm the booking. However, there is an error in the thank you page. When directed from PayPal website I get the following message: “An error has occurred: No transaction information could be retrieved or the transaction data is not of the correct type.” When I navigate to my thank page by typing in the url I get this message “An error has occurred: No transaction information could be retrieved because the registration URL link is missing or invalid.” Thanks in advance for your help. |
Hi Gobikrishna, Please ensure that your critical pages (event espresso –> general settings –> critical pages) for Event Espresso are published and not set to private. Have you already setup the PayPal IPN for Event Espresso? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-set-up-paypal-ipn/ Also, is auto-return setup through PayPal to bring you back to the Event Espresso thank you page? — |

Hi Thanks for your help thus far. I can confirm that PayPal IPN is activated and working. The payment is going through and customers are getting email confirmation of the payment. It is just the display in the thank-you page is not working properly. All critical websites are published. I don’t have auto return set up with PayPal. However, I will do this in the future. I have isolated the problem but don’t have the fix. To convert all my pages to https I have the following codes in .htaccess file # Force https on all pages if i remove these codes ‘thank you’ page works normally. My issue is I needs the above code to force SSL on all pages and HTTPS plugin to correct mixed content error. How do I fix this? Thanks. |
Hi, could you remove the htaccess rewrite and secure the Event Espresso registration checkout and thank you pages through WP HTTPS? — |
