PayPal Pro – "No response received from PayPal Pro"

I tested a registration myself after setting up my PayPal Pro gateway with EE4. After entering in my billing info and clicking “Proceed to Finalize Registration”, I receive the following error message:

No response received from PayPal Pro
No response received from Paypal Pro”>

I double checked the API credentials, no issues there. What should I try next?

Hi Tony,

It’d be good to verify that your server has cURL enabled. That’s usually something your host can check into. Or you can go to Event Espresso > Maintenance > System Information and in that information there’s an entry for “remote_posting” which will tell you whether cURL is enabled or not.

Weird. Following your instructions, System Info is telling me cURL is enabled.

You can also check with your host to see if the firewall settings allow PayPal to communicate with your website.
