I tested a registration myself after setting up my PayPal Pro gateway with EE4. After entering in my billing info and clicking “Proceed to Finalize Registration”, I receive the following error message:

I double checked the API credentials, no issues there. What should I try next?
It’d be good to verify that your server has cURL enabled. That’s usually something your host can check into. Or you can go to Event Espresso > Maintenance > System Information and in that information there’s an entry for “remote_posting” which will tell you whether cURL is enabled or not.
You can also check with your host to see if the firewall settings allow PayPal to communicate with your website.
