I have set up the PayPal Pro Payment Method. I have followed all of the setup instructions as well as all of the troubleshooting tips as far as I can tell. I am using a verified PayPal Pro business account. I have the IPN settings correct on the PayPal account. I am using the txnpage.php template for my http://www.stsw.org/transactions page. I have the 4 critical pages with the shortcodes only, and all are set to public. I am getting no messsages logged to the uploads/espresso/logs folder on my server, BUT I have tried changing the permissions on that folder as mentioned in the main troubleshooting post. I am hosting with BlueHost, and as far as I can tell everything else is working fine on the site EXCEPT for the payment processing with the PayPal Pro payment gateway. I am getting the Transaction Status: Incomplete, and Payment Status: Declined. We are trying to get our conference registration live by tomorrow. Please HELP! |

Ooops, almost forgot. I am on WordPress 3.9 with Event Espresso version 4.2.3.reg. |

Hi Kevin, One issue is that your site does not have HTTPS (an SSL certificate) which is normally required for onsite payment processing due to security. HTTPS doesn’t need to be set site wide, but certainly on the payment page. https://www.paypal.com/sg/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_payflow-pro-faq-outside#Do_I_need_a_Secure_Socket |

Okay, I have forced the entire site to use SSL. My transaction is still resulting in an Incomplete transaction process and Payment Declined. |
Hi Kevin, Could you try regenerating your API credentials for PayPal Pro? Then could you update these into Event Espresso? Be careful of extra spacing when copying and pasting the credentials. Also on some PayPal accounts, you are required to accept a billing agreement through your account. This typically applies to AMEX cards. — |

Okay, I am getting quite frustrated at this point. I regenerated the PayPal Pro credentials as you requested — it still did NOT work. So, I tried setting up PayPal Standard. When processing this way, the transaction results page said it failed, but the transaction did go through and appeared on my PayPal account. Event Espresso did register that member, but if it had been a real registrant they would have thought it failed. So, as I tried that process again, Event Espresso started not even getting through to the Payments Options page. It started popping up a red outlined box and would not move on to Payment Options. I have cleared the browser cache, but no luck. I need some help here as this event was supposed to go live two days ago. Please help. |

I have purchased a priority support token to get this issue handled ASAP. Your site talks all about how to buy them, but how in the heck do I use it? I need a phone number or someway to get this issue moved up so I can get it taken care of. We were supposed to launch three days ago! |
Hi Kevin, Sorry for the trouble. Please go to your account page and click on “To redeem your token(s) please complete this form”, then completely fill out the form, then support staff will get right on this as soon as they have the credentials they need to work on this. |
|
Hi Kevin, We received some of the credentials and we are able to log into the WordPress admin. The FTP credentials you sent were incomplete. The password needs to be sent in order for us to get access. Can you please check the credentials and resend? Please note that copying and pasting obfuscated passwords from a filled out password form will not work. |
