The payment Status in my backend of my current event still says incomplete for many ticket holders that have actually completed the full transaction and are able to provide PayPal receipts.
We have not activated any new plugins or made changes to our site.
Looking on your site I can not access the /transactions/ page, has this been renamed to something else?
PayPal sends the IPN to your transactions page for EE to process, if that page is not available EE will not receive the notification from PayPal that the user has paid and will not update the registration.
Can you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Page settings.
What page does it show set for the ‘Notify URL (used to process payments)’ dropdown?
You can have member-only events but the critical pages for Event Espresso which help with registrations on your site should all be published and publicly accessible.
If any of the pages are private, then please publish them:
The ‘critical pages’ Lorenzo mentioned above should always be publicly available for EE to work correctly. They can be removed from public menus etc but they should be accessible without needing to log in.
Do you have auto return enabled on your PayPal account?
