Hi, I have a problem with my IPN messages. For some reason the orders won’t become complete. Steps taken so far:
Upgraded to tls1.2
Checked all paypal troubleshooting point in the documentation

The error log shows this:
Errors resulting from the execution of curl transfer: [07/24/2018 7:31 AM] – FAIL: IPN Validation Failed . /cgi-bin/webscr : http://www.paypal.com

The status page shows a warning about memory limit being 40M instead of 64 (can’t change it from php and hosting support is unresponsive, so can’t change or verify anything on that side).

php version is 5.5.33
curl is enabled

Please let me know if you need other details.
Thanks!

Hi,

I checked your site and inspected the http headers which happen to report the version of OpenSSL. It’s reporting version: OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5. PayPal’s now requires OpenSSL version 1.0.1 or greater. If your host cannot make these updates then you’ll need to migrate to a host that does keep their server software up to date. There are many hosts that do, and we have a recommended list here: https://eventespresso.com/requirements/
