Hello,

I installed the PayPal express last week, and at that time I made a test purchase and it was working.
Yesterday a user told me that she tried to register and pay through paypal, but she got a blank page. Today another user reported the same issue, so I went ahead and tried again, and indeed i’m getting a blank page after I authorise the payment in my personal paypal account. The URL of the empty page is this:

https://www.genevaphotoclub.com/registration-checkout/?uts=1478474797&step=payment_options&action=process_gateway_response&selected_method_of_payment=paypal_express&spco_txn=6738#checkout&token=EC-3VH254142G249335L&PayerID=5GKWSE6NMWUXN

And a recording of the problem: http://screencast.com/t/UJCN8ucykceq

Here are the steps I already checked:
– All the API credentials are correct
– Paypal auto return is On (to https://www.genevaphotoclub.com/thank-you/)
– Paypal Payment Data transfer is On (I also tried with this turned off, did not change anything)
– IPN is enabled to https://www.genevaphotoclub.com/transactions/

What am I missing here? I turned off the Paypal payments for now until we resolve this. Let me know if you will need access.

As an additional information, the transaction seems to have been created but without any payment:

You can turn on WordPress debugging to find out the error that’s happening on the blank page. You can rule out a potential theme or plugin conflict by following these steps to turn on debug mode:

You can set wp_debug to true by editing the wp-config.php file.

You can use an [FTP client][1] and [a text editor][2] to access change this line to the site’s wp-config.php file:
define('WP_DEBUG', true);

It looks like you’ll need to turn off auto return in your PayPal account. PayPal Express automatically returns the payer back to your site anyway.

hi there,
I tried with the auto return off, still get the empty page with the URL
https://www.genevaphotoclub.com/registration-checkout/?uts=1478604336&step=payment_options&action=process_gateway_response&selected_method_of_payment=paypal_express&spco_txn=6746#checkout&token=EC-98D2389082777993E&PayerID=5GKWSE6NMWUXN

Here is the updated error log:

Hi there,

Your error log’s PHP notices are mostly coming from the Avada theme, the woocommerce-quick-checkout plugin, and the wp-google-analytics-events plugin. If you try the payment without the above active, does the blank page happen or not?

Hello,
So I turned off both woocommerce plugins and tried again, and I got the same blank page.

Here is the updated error log. I tried first with the auto-return off in Paypal. Then I tried again with the auto-return on.

It’s really strange because everything was working with paypal express with all these plugins and my theme active when I set it up on Oct 28th.

Can you try deactivating, the removing the version of Event Espresso 4 core and replace with this version?
