We are trying to switch to the PayPal Commerce payment method as recommended. We found we needed to capture address information during registration and added that feature. However, we are still getting this error msg:
“It appears that PayPal Commerce checkout JavaScript was not loaded properly! Please refresh the page and try again or contact support. PayPal Commerce payments can’t be processed.”
**Note we have WP Rocket and have tried both with this plugin activated and deactivated.

We still have PayPal Express active at the moment as we have active registrations.

Is there any downfall to keeping PayPal Express as our payment method?

Hi there,
Did you connect your PayPal account through the payment method?
The JS is currently loading but I can see there is no client ID set, which normally means your account has not been connected.
If you enable the PayPal commerce payment method again does it show connect like this:

Note that’s my account currently connected in Sandbox mode, yours should NOT be in sandbox.
You can leave PayPal Express enabled along with Commerce whilst I check into this if you like.

Its an older integration method but technically, no. We are deprecating the older payment methods as Commerce will be the payment method focused on moving forward but as it stands it’s usable.
