Hi Rosemary,

Can you edit that page above:

http://www.rainbowsportsclub.com.au/event-registration/

and tell me what shortcode is in use on that page please?

[SINGLEEVENT single_event_id=”rainbow-beach-family-fishing-classic2-5502d4ee8650b”]

The idea is to be able to be do something similar to this form that was created in Contact 7 and is not working anymore. The client needs to be able to achieve obtaining date of birth, gender etc for all registrants. This form does not work anymore therefore looking for something better. This is the old layout http://www.rainbowsportsclub.com.au/testing/

The idea thing would be so that the client could select 3 of the dropdowns at the same time like a shopping cart , complete the registrant names etc.

I am happy to have someone assist with this if the price is reasonable for them.

I have spent way too many hours trying to get this working so I am hoping you can assist me.

Many thanks
Rose

Ok, the reason this isn’t working is because the ESPRESSO_EVENTS shortcode has been swapped out for SINGLE_EVENT.

When you use SINGLE_EVENT the registration form is displayed for that speicifc event that you give the ID for, when the user enters the details the form is passed to the page containing [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] to process.

Event Espresso still thinks /event-registration/ contains that shortcodes as it does by default. So that page is submitting to itself and doesn’t know what to do, so it just shows the registration form again… that make sense?

It is simple to fix, change the /event-registration/ page back to use the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode then create a new page for the SINGLE_EVENT shortcode you are using, use that page for your registrations.

We can fix this up with a priority support token if you prefer although the above will get you back up and running.

However I do have a quick question, I can see you are using EE3 is there a reason you are not using EE4?

I tried to install 4 but was having issues. I will give it a try installing again and will give that fix a go you suggested. Thanks for the quick response and wish me luck!
