Hi, we use event espresso through our wordpress website. When we create an event the “pay using paypal” button automatically appears on the event registration page. We would like to use a different paypal button that is called subscribe and creates a reoccurring payment system. We have the html code for the new button but I do not see on the website where we can change the button that is showing on the registration page.
Also, we are interested in trying the new recurring events manager system in beta but I do not have the advanced editor button under default settings. Is there something else I need to download to have this button appear? thank you!

Hi there,
Whilst adding your own HTML output to the payment options step is possible via code, adding a payment button like this into Event Espresso isn’t so simple.
Event Espresso is going to have no way to track that payment when the user completes the registrations which mean the registration can’t finalize. It also has no code to process the additional ‘subscription’ payments made with this type of integration and add them into the transaction within EE to track when the transaction is complete etc.
In short, adding some HTML to the page isn’t going to integrate the PayPal subscription into Event Espresso currently.

It actually a totally separate version of Event Espresso, are you testing on a development/staging copy of the site?
(We advise against testing PR versions ona live site, if we make changes to the database structure it isn’t expected that your live site will need to have those changes applied)
